Caliber Yachts

Caliber Yachts entered the cruising boat market in 1981 with the launch of the first Caliber 28, which was built by brothers George and Michael McCreary in a backyard garage.

By 1985, Caliber Yachts was operating out of its own plant in Clearwater, producing the Caliber 33, to be followed in 1987 by the Caliber 38 and, in 1991, by the Caliber 35 and Caliber 40, the latter a modification of the Caliber 38 with extended stern and swim platform.

Caliber Yachts launched their LRC (Long Range Cruiser) series with increased fuel and water tank capacities for long-distance cruising, carefully applying many of the best attributes of existing cruising designs to their own creations.

Caliber Yachts unashamedly caters for a specific market: the experienced, knowledgeable customer seeking a seaworthy cruising yacht with uncompromised structural integrity and practical, robust systems - and all at a highly competitive price.

The many unique features and design details incorporated in the Caliber range have been refined over many years and many tens of thousands of miles of real-world ocean use.  Please click on the menu items to the left to see how these are executed in each of the individual model brochures for the Caliber Yachts range (caution: large file sizes) or follow this link for the Caliber Yachts website.
