There
are charter operations in many locations but not all
charter locations are equal.
Typical
considerations that will enter into a decision
regarding a particular location are:
-
personal preferences - one of our customers
wanted his charter boat in The Grenadines as
this was the part of the Caribbean in which he
preferred sailing
-
management company location - not all charter
management companies are created equal, either
in terms of customer service for charter clients
or professionalism in maintenance of your
charter yacht
-
ease of access from the US and Europe - clearly,
frequent and reliable air service is important
And,
perhaps most importantly, financial returns -
certain (more popular) locations will provide more
substantial financial returns.
For a
combination of the above reasons, we tend to
recommend placement of charter yachts in the
Caribbean (typically the BVI, Antigua, St Martin,
The Grenadines), New England or The Chesapeake Bay.

discussion of locations and their respective pros and cons.
