Charter Locations

There are charter operations in many locations but not all charter locations are equal.

Typical considerations that will enter into a decision regarding a particular location are:

  • personal preferences - one of our customers wanted his charter boat in The Grenadines as this was the part of the Caribbean in which he preferred sailing

  • management company location - not all charter management companies are created equal, either in terms of customer service for charter clients or professionalism in maintenance of your charter yacht

  • ease of access from the US and Europe - clearly, frequent and reliable air service is important

And, perhaps most importantly, financial returns - certain (more popular) locations will provide more substantial financial returns.

For a combination of the above reasons, we tend to recommend placement of charter yachts in the Caribbean (typically the BVI, Antigua, St Martin, The Grenadines), New England or The Chesapeake Bay.
