Lagoon Technology

Lagoon uses its own technology in order to built the strongest and lightest boats in composite.

This very high technology has been improved over the years with the many hundreds of boats built in their own shipyards.

Vacuum-bagged,

the structure is ready

for resin infusion

Vacuum bagging and resin infusion are at the heart of Lagoon's modern boat building technology, allowing much better control over materials.

This production methodology ensures a more consistent, lighter and stronger structure -  layers of cloth are perfectly and completely saturated by resin, making for a one-piece solid structure.

A significant added environmental benefit of vacuum bagging is the dramatic reduction in  VOC emissions.

Lagoon also uses an efficient production line approach rather than the old-fashioned fixed production station where everything has to be brought to the boat.

This also allows higher quality to be maintained, as workers at particular stations become expert in their tasks - the picture above shows the Lagoon 500 line in the new production facility in Bordeaux.
