Lagoon

Lagoon was created in 1984 as an extension of the racing division of the French boat builder, Jeanneau, and was set up specifically to build racing prototypes.

In 1987, the first non-racing catamaran was launched - the Lagoon 55, a luxury catamaran built using the same high tech methods as the racing yachts.

Building on the success of this first model, Lagoon has become a leader in cruising catamarans, offering a full range of fast, comfortable yachts.

Today, Lagoon is part of CNB, the custom yacht division of the Beneteau Group, the world's largest recreational boat builder - follow the "Custom" link to the left to see more details on CNB and the larger custom projects undertaken for an exclusive list of clients.

Lagoons are built in two locations in France - larger yachts in Bordeaux, smaller catamarans (up to 45') in Belleville sur Vie in the Vendée region.

As category leader Lagoon continues to innovate, with redesigned hulls and spacious main salons, flybridge steering stations and forward cockpits, electric propulsion on the Lagoon 420, square top mainsails for better performance in light wind and safety in gusts, touch screen controls on the new 560...

With each new model Lagoon uses its long experience in innovation to make cruising ever more safe and enjoyable.
