Lagoon 620 wins the catamaran class in the 2010 ARC

This year the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC), the biggest transatlantic rally in the world - is celebrating its 25th edition and the Lagoon fleet is as present as ever, with 8 boats on the starting line.

Lagoon catamarans have been regularly representing 50% or more of the ARC multihull fleet, and have always shown their sea going qualities and performance potential, as in 2009 (1st: Lagoon 420, 2nd: Lagoon 440) and in 2008 (2nd: Lagoon 42).

And this year has been no exception with the British crew of Lagoon 620 Lady Boubou crossing the finish line well ahead of other multihulls.

Not having used her engines at all, she won the Multihull Division on corrected time, adding this victory to the line honours in her division and of course, to the Lagoon Trophy awarded to first multihull to finish on corrected time.

Last but not least, Lady Boubou was 11th across the line in a fleet of 235 yachts proving once again that you do not necessarily need to choose between comfort and performance! ... not bad indeed!with
