The new Lagoon 420 Hybrid (the first production catamaran with electric motors) has now been firmly established and so Lagoon will be offering an optional diesel-powered version in 2008.

This option had always been scheduled in the Lagoon planning, and no additional tooling is required to accommodate the diesel engines and saildrives.

This boat will be equipped with standard diesel engines of 40HP each, and the basic specifications of this version in comparison to the Hybrid will be:

• 2 x 40HP Yanmar 3JH4CE saildrive

• 2 standard fuel tanks (79 gallons each)

• no standard generator or battery charger
